Hello! My name is Nikki Small and I run Ewe Felty Thing, a yarn shop in Conwy, North Wales.
I started the shop in 2018, first subletting some space from another shop. We’ve now been running for over 7 years!
Over the time we’ve been open, I have run a variety of groups and classes to help support those on their creative journeys. During Lockdown I continued these online, creating a Zoom Group which would turn into my first membership – Woolbert’s Flock.
In 2025 I decided that this needed to be updated and expanded so that we could help more people with their knitting, and to take you from beginner to designer and beyond. Knitting Membership was born!
It might not be the most original name, but it does what it says on the tin. It’s designed to be a lovely, friendly and supportive space to help you get the most from your knitting.
I am a knitwear designer, and you will find my patterns for sale in the Digital Products page of this site. I am using my experience to create project-based courses to help you travel through learning your initial stitches to using colourwork, cables, and lace stitches.
I really believe in the power of creativity to help you cope with and overcome the difficulties in your life. So many people have come to me over the years and said that they could never have got through without their knitting, or their crochet. It has become my mission to help as many people as possible to learn this creative coping mechanism.
